Children, teenagers and adults seek support from Spectrum House in order to address concerns such as:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Sleeping difficulties
- Social skills training
- Sibling support
- Parent coping skills*
- And a variety of other mental health concerns
We use a combination of behavioural intervention, cognitive behavioural therapies and other evidence based interventions in order to support individuals and families. Many clients use their sessions to debrief, find strategies to use in their day-to-day lives and to create plans to help them get the most out of life.
If you, or someone you care about would benefit from our counselling services, please do not hesitate to call or email us for more information regarding how we can help.
* – Although focus is often on a child with additional needs, it can be challenging for parents and siblings to cope with the day-to-day challenges related to these behaviours. Supporting families as a whole is vital in ensuring cohesive, supportive family units. At Spectrum House, we can support siblings and parents to cope with the day-to-day concerns of having a family member with additional needs.
